The Season 4 Championship Event, which took place, at the M Luxury Resort Hotel Casino was the last tournament of the Hollywood Poker Open series. Penn National Gaming launched it in 2013.
The company invited Chris Moneymaker, a 2003 WSOP title winner, as an ambassador. So, many fans of poker participated in qualifying rounds competing for the opportunity to meet him.
To be sure, these tournaments also attracted numerous professional players. It should be noted that the number of participants in the $500 Buy-In Events and four championships reached roughly 650. Their entry fees allowed collecting over 1.5 million dollars as prize pools.
Unfortunately, the Season 4 Championship Event was the last competition in the history of the Hollywood Poker Open.
According to Bill Bruce, Director of the Hollywood Poker Open, announced that this series was a promotion that was intended to attract more gamblers from different regions of the United States to Las Vegas.
This promotion has been so successful over four years. However, initially, Penn National Gaming allocated two years for this promotion.
Many fairly novice and experienced poker players attended tournaments. As for the winners, their list includes Ana Marquez (2013), Simon Deadman (2014), Keven Stammen (2015), and Dejuante Alexander (2016).
Bill Bruce is absolutely satisfied with the accomplishments of the Hollywood Poker Open team. However, this promotion is not so relevant now.
Customers really appreciated the high-quality competitions of the Hollywood Poker Open series. Nevertheless, even successful promotions come to an end. We hope that
Penn National Gaming will please us with other promotions.
