Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies arrested a man and a woman suspected of operating an illegal gaming site out of a storefront that doubled as their home in Norwalk on Thursday, August 16. The 42-year-old man and 55-year-old woman were taken into custody after authorities recovered $2,500 to $3,000 as well as at least 15 computers used to facilitate unregistered gambling at the building on the 10900 block of Imperial Highway, said Lt. Noe Garcia, who is working the case. He said deputies also found heroin and methamphetamine at the building.
It’s becoming more common in Southern California. This is the second gambling outfit we have learned of in Norwalk over the past four or five months.
