Viacheslav Zhukov

Childhood

Viacheslav Zhukov was born around 1989 in Stary Oskol, Russia, a city located about 400 miles south of Moscow on the Oskol River. He later attended Moscow Mining University, earning a geology degree before turning to professional poker.

Career

Zhukov began playing poker in 2005 and became a full-time professional around 2010. His breakthrough came at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in 2011:

• Won his first WSOP bracelet in the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better Championship, earning $465,216.
• 2012: Captured his second WSOP bracelet in the $3,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better event for $330,277.
