Having noticed an increase in the number of visitors at the Aristo International Hotel in Vietnam, the Donaco International shows an interest in developing a small airport in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai.

The Aristo International resort complex was opened in 2002 on the border with the Chinese province of Yunnan. It has recently been renovated in accordance with all standards and requirements for five-star hotels. The gambling house is ready to offer 400 modern hotel rooms and a gaming room with 49 tables and 300 video slots.

Reporting at the Lao Cai Investment and Tourism Development 2016 seminar, Joey Lim, a Managing Director of Donaco International, emphasized that a larger airport in the region will contribute to the growth of tourism by accomodating flights from Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, China, and Laos.

"We would like to cooperate in the development of the airport with the Sun Group and the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam - Mr. Lim said in his report. - As a result, we will be able to see Lao Cai developing into a center of tourism and logistics. The airport is very important for the development of tourism in the region."

The Lao Cai airport is currently used for civil and military aircrafts whose size does not exceed 150 seats. It welcomes flights from Jakarta, Kunming, and Vientiane. The gaming operator is going to increase the annual capacity to 560,000 passengers and 600 tons of goods, which will allow accommodating international flights.
