On Wednesday, March 11, 2016, the PartyPoker online poker room launched a new project with participation of celebrities called Big Bluff (BB). Its organizers will try to prove that absolutely anyone can learn to play poker and enjoy it, despite the lack of experience.
PartyPoker succeeded in attracting 4 celebrities to participate in this project. None of them have ever played poker. They will undergo a crash Simon Trumper’s poker course in the framework of training for a special live final game, taking place during the Grand Prix Poker Tour Brighton. They will participate in the 4 qualifying tournaments. Their winner will get 5,000 pounds as a prize, which can be transferred to any charity organization selected by the winner.
Actress Georgie Porter, who is best known for portraying Theresa McQueen in the soap opera Hollyoaks, actress and model Melinda Messenger, four-time Superbike world champion Carl "Foggy" Fogarty, as well as outstanding English professional football player of Nigerian origin Adebayo "The Beast" Akinfenwa, formed a quartet of poker novices.
In addition to the crash poker course from the British poker legend, four celebrities will have some masterclasses, allowing them to be cool-minded and have a blank expression in situations of being under psychological pressure by Carl Froch, an official representative of PartyPoker and four-time world boxing champion. A professional sport psychologist will help them to evolve from a defenseless small fish to a prudent shark.
