The Swedish operator Betsson obtained a license under the brand name Triobet to provide gambling activities in Latvia. It is now able to offer its services to the Latvian gamblers.

The Lotteries and Gambling Supervision Inspection (IAUI) reported that Triobet received a Latvian license. This means that Betsson will be removed from the blacklist with operators of unlicensed gambling sites in the near time.

Betsson acquired Triobet in April 2012, purchasing the associated company called Nordic Gaming Group for 60 million euros in cash and five million in shares.

Latvia has become a new country where Betsson may officially offer its services. The company has already obtained licenses for providing gambling activities in Malta, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Estonia, and Georgia.

Two years ago, Betsson and the other 442 online gambling sites were blacklisted in the country.

Ulrik Bengtsson, Betsson President and Chief Executive, said: "When the outdated legal structures and monopolies are eliminated, favorable conditions for long-term and profitable development are created. Our strategy aims to increase the sustainable income via participation in local licensing procedures and development of both natural growth and by acquisition of companies on the local regulated markets."

Betsson offers various online products and gambling games in a safe and user-friendly gaming environment. Its range of offers includes: betting, casinos, live casinos, poker games, scratch cards, and bingo. Casinos of Triobet are willing to offer such high-quality online games as blackjack, roulette, various slots, and video poker. Triobet software was tested by two independent companies.

Fans of betting can enjoy a wide range of bets on both global and local sporting events. LiveBet maximizes the gamblers’ emotions, providing the opportunity to stake in real time.
